Privacy policy

Effective date: 23 October 2026

Introduction

ReallyFastMonkey, LLC ("ReallyFastMonkey", "we", "us", "our") makes the game IdleDing. This policy explains what personal data we collect on idleding.com and through the IdleDing mailing list, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. "Personal data" means any information that identifies you, or could be used to identify you, such as your email address or your device's IP address.

The controller responsible for your personal data is ReallyFastMonkey, LLC, a limited liability company in the United States. You can reach us at hi@reallyfastmonkey.com.

Our promise

We will never sell your data, and we will never share it with another company for their own use. Your email address is used for one thing only: sending you the IdleDing news you signed up for. No ads, no partner offers, no spam.

The only companies that ever handle your data are the two services that run this website and our mailing list, Cloudflare and EmailOctopus (see below). They may use it only to do that job for us. There are only two exceptions:

What we collect and how we use it

Visiting this website

This website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. To deliver the pages, your browser sends Cloudflare technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser type. Cloudflare, like any web host, needs this to send you the page and to protect the site from attacks, and keeps it in its logs for a limited time. We don't collect or store your IP address, and we don't use Cloudflare's logs to identify or profile visitors.

This website uses no cookies, local storage, analytics, advertising or social-media tools. It loads no fonts, scripts or other content from anyone else. No other company collects personal data through this website, apart from Cloudflare as host and EmailOctopus when you sign up (below).

The mailing list

If you sign up, we'll email you when the IdleDing Steam page goes live, plus occasional development updates about IdleDing. To do this we collect:

We use double opt-in: after you sign up, we send one email asking you to confirm. Until you click the link in it, you won't be added to the list and won't receive anything else.

We don't track whether you open our emails or which links you click.

Our mailing list is stored and sent by EmailOctopus, a trading name of Three Hearts Digital Ltd, 86–90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom (company number 09897211). EmailOctopus stores mailing list data with Amazon Web Services, mainly in Ireland. When you press the sign-up button, your browser sends the form directly to EmailOctopus, whose servers receive your IP address to make that connection. We don't receive or keep it.

Legal basis for processing

Under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on:

We don't use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

How long we keep it

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with the two service providers named above, which process it on our behalf:

Both handle your data on our behalf, under data processing terms. We never sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we never share it with anyone for their own marketing or any other use of their own. We disclose it only if the law requires us to, or if IdleDing changes hands as described under "Our promise".

International transfers

We're based in the United States, and our providers are in the US and the UK, so your data may be processed outside your own country.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

Email hi@reallyfastmonkey.com with any request. It's free, and we'll reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm that the email address is yours before acting on it. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you straight away, and always within 10 business days.

If you're in the EU, EEA or UK, these are your rights under Chapter III of the GDPR. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, usually the one where you live or work: in the EU and EEA, see the list of national authorities; in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office. We'd appreciate the chance to sort out any concern first.

"Do Not Track" signals

This website doesn't track visitors over time or across other websites, and it lets no one else do so. A browser's "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal therefore changes nothing here: there is no tracking to switch off.

Children

Our website and mailing list are not aimed at children. Please don't sign up if you're under 13, or under the age at which you can consent to this yourself where you live (up to 16 in some EU countries). We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we'll delete it. If you think a child has signed up, email us.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll publish the new version on this page and change the effective date above. If a change affects how we use your email address, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect.
